First-year students in the Master in Entrepreneurship have been on a study visit to Sofia, Bulgaria.

With the main focus of the visit being the entrepreneurial ecosystem, students had the opportunity to gain insights into the strengths and challenges of Bulgarian entrepreneurship.

We sincerely thank Prof. Todor Yalamov, Vice-Dean of the FEBA Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” for his engaging lecture on Bulgaria’s economic history, the transition from a socialist to a market economy, and the early development of IT start-ups. We also thank Victor Gugushev, Chairman of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, for his valuable analysis of Bulgarian-Romanian economic relations and the potential for development through improved connectivity.

The visit continued with meetings at the Bulgarian SME Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), Sofia Tech Park, and BESCO – The Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association (BESCO).

The insights shared during these visits greatly enhanced our understanding of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Thank you to our hosts, Mr. Lachezar Petkov, Natanail Stefanov 🚀, Martina Stoyanova, and Martin Stoilkov for their warm welcome and informative sessions.
