Bent Petersen (PhD) is Professor of International Business at the Department of International Economics, Government and Business, Copenhagen Business School. He holds a position as Associate Dean of the school’s executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (“The Blue MBA”). He is honorary Visiting Professor at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Before entering academia he worked for five years as an economist at the Carlsberg Group in Denmark. He has taught in the Nordic countries, France, Austria, Portugal, Vietnam, and Australia. His current research interests are in global value chains, emerging market multinationals and strategic contracting. He has co-authored 5 books, 10 book chapters, and published more than 40 refereed articles in international journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, World Development, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of World Business, Long Range Planning and Journal of Business Research and has currently got around 5,000 google scholar citations
